Coming Soon, Thelma's Yorkies and Claires Cairns
I am getting kind of nervous as both females are very close to having their puppies. Thelma is close in my grooming building and Claire has a building all to herself. Someday I am going to have security cameras installed so I do not have to keep walking back and forth all night and day to check on them. My laundryroom currently is housing Sweet Dora and her three babies. She is tiring of being away from the other dogs and finds that room pretty boring. I will have pictures posted on my websites, www.Yorkies-r-us.com and www. Cairns-r-us.com

Cheryl Nims comments about Yorkietalk.com
Years ago one of my customers sent me a link to a Yorkietalk Forum. She thought I could add a lot of advice from my years of experience raising puppies. I read through some of the posts and did not like how some of the members responded. They were cruel, insulting, and down right mean natured. I wanted no part of their forum and knew they would never accept a professional breeder. Over the years they had made fun of my health guarantee which is very extensive and had ruined reputations of other breeders they considered bad. Then they found a way to really hurt me, my kennel, and worst of all my puppies’ futures.
February 4, 2006, I sold a 7 month old 2.5 lb. female Yorkie pup named Tina to a Nathaniel Russel who at the time resided in Wichita, KS. Tina had been spayed and up to date on all vaccinations except for rabies. Nathaniel was giving this pup to his girlfriend, Lauren Brown, as a present. Tina never presented any problems while in my care even after her surgery. I tend to keep the tinier pups longer just to insure they are okay. I never heard from either of them again.
A few months ago I was alerted to a post on Yorkie Talk Forum. It was an older post dated 10-2-2007 and very slanderous to my reputation written by Lauren. She states I have over 100 Yorkies and other breeds in small chicken wire cages in a barn. I only raise Cairn Terriers and Yorkies and there is not one piece of chicken wire on my property and I certainly do not have or ever have had over 100 dogs. I don’t know why she would lie. My dogs are in a confined facility but have air conditioning in summer and heat in the winter. They have indoor/outdoor runs in a building specially designed for the Yorkies.
She also states that after she got her pup I disappeared off the face of the internet. Every pup I sell has the AKC registration papers with my name, an invoice with my name and usually a copy of my health guarantee with all my contact information. Even if she lost those papers all she would have had to do is google my name or kennel name. She could have also checked phone records to get my phone number.
I have no idea what problems her pup has had, evidently not too bad as she later advertised her for sale in October of 2009 from her new home in Texas.
Other posters followed her posts stating the pictures on my website are photoshopped which is another lie. These people are so rude and hateful toward a person they do not even know.
Another past customer writes that her pup had Addison’s Disease. Molly Morrison had contacted me to inform me of this pup’s problem and I had told her that this was the first case to my knowledge of any of my pups affected by this. I never heard back from her or received any information from her vet so just assumed her dog was doing better. She states on Yorkie Talk Forum that all my tales of approval are made up, another lie.
More recently someone else jumped on their band wagon stating that the dog they bought just died at 14.5 years of age but had suffered from digestive problems for years. Did she ever let me know of any problems--NO!
I am a professional breeder and raise many puppies a year. I am proud to be licensed by the State of Missouri and USDA. AKC also makes regular inspections which I always have passed. I am legal. Do I make money? Yes, of course I do. I work very hard and am good at what I do and yes this is a REAL JOB. This is my business not some hobby or sideline. All of my dogs are well taken care of, fed premium foods, vetted when necessary, and groomed. They are free of parasites and happy in their controlled environment. Do I ever raise a puppy that has a problem? Yes it happens. That is why I give a health guarantee for every pup produced but I cannot fix a problem if I never hear about it. It is the buyers responsibility to let any breeder know of a problem. That is the only way we can fix a genetic issue. Of course not all problems are our fault. Environment plays a big part of issues-smoking, being overweight, not feeding a good quality food, falling or jumping from too great a distance.
Yorkie Talk Forum has ruined my business. Future customers see the hateful posts with all their lies and decide against my puppies. Anyone googling my name or business will see the hatefulness of this forum directed towards me.
Following is an exact email (spelling and all) I received from one of their members, Pat Buck.
“A friend saw her yorkie on your website listed under Tails of Approval.
She DID NOT give you permission to post the picture nor does she approve your puppy mill operation. Their coming after your ass!”
What a nice person. The hate of this forum has hurt other breeders also. They seem to want to eliminate all their competition but I will not quit. I love raising puppies and have many satisfied customers and I am not a “puppy mill”, the equivalent of calling a black person the N word. It is a dirty mean spirited term and I am insulted by it. How can they determine what a person is like without ever even meeting them or seeing their facilities. It is called being prejudice.
I am so sick of these people downing breeders and pet stores. Guess they can just get their pups from each other, animal shelters, or rescues. We all know that all those pups are always healthy, never have any issues at all, and live 20 years. Purebred puppies just do not fall from the sky. A breeder carefully raises them and the number of dogs they own is irrelevant to the care they receive.
